Bigger may be better, but it comes with a host of responsibilities. HiSEL is committed to not only successfully installing utility-scale projects, but also ensuring that the afterwork (maintenance and repairs) is meticulously executed.
Telenor Group is one of the largest multinational telecommunications companies in the world. Based in Norway, the company has operations in 29 countries. Telenor Pakistan is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telenor Group, and is one of the fastest-growing cellular networks with a subscriber base exceeding 36 million. HiSEL was tasked with installing batteries to ensure that 450 Telenor base transceiver station (BTS) sites across Pakistan would always seamlessly be connected to power, preventing even microsecond delays or disconnection. BTS sites facilitate wireless communication between user equipment (mobile phones, computers, etc.) and a telecommunications network.
Recognizing the need for BTS sites to have uninterruptible power, HiSEL installed a range of battery backup solutions ranging from 500Ah to 1000Ah to provide power for Telenor Pakistan. HiSEL completed power backup solutions in 450 sites across Central and Northern Pakistan, and provides extensive warranties for maintenance and repair of these batteries, meeting strict international standards for project installation and service coverage
